On May 28, 2026, The Board of Directors of All Nations Kansas City (ANKC, or legally, All Nations Family Inc.) voted unanimously to take the following action:
“It is with a heavy heart that we move to separate from and no longer recognize the International Leadership Team (ILT) as spiritual accountability, a reporting relationship, or any governance whatsoever for All Nations Family Inc. (ANKC). We reject any rights claimed by the ILT or All Nations International (ANI) to guide, guard, or govern ANKC as these claims exceed any authority granted to them in our governing documents or in U.S. nonprofit law.”
This decision has not been made lightly.
On October 27, 2025, an ANKC fieldworker released a lengthy informal report to the ILT, summarizing the grievances of at least 38 persons, including some ANKC fieldworkers, who had experienced misconduct by a member of the ILT. While this report was not commissioned or sanctioned by any All Nations entity, it continues to be the opinion of the ANKC Board that the testimony of such a great number of witnesses warrants an impartial third-party investigation.
After over three months, the ILT had insufficiently addressed the grievances in the report, and our ANKC Board met to pray, seek Scripture for guidance, and discuss next steps. Because several leaders within All Nations serve in multiple leadership positions, including our Board and on the ILT, we felt there was a conflict of interest and our Board Chair Jacob Lierz recused several leaders on the ILT from any of the ANKC Board meetings and conversations. (They have since resigned.) On February 26, 2026, ANKC Executive Director Meredith Johnson resigned from her role on the ILT due to the insufficient response to grievances that had been made in October 2025 and ongoing concerns about unhealthy leadership culture within the ILT.
Since March 2026, the ANKC Board has carefully and prayerfully responded to the public allegations against this ILT member, released a public statement to the ILT, and invited leaders of the ILT to engage in a conversation of reconciliation, including a proposal by Genesis Christian Mediation, a third party who could facilitate this conversation. The ILT did not respond to the ANKC Board’s request. We were directed by ILT leadership to send future grievances to a lawyer, which we have not done since the lawyer was not hired by a neutral party.
Since last October, we have received additional grievances regarding other All Nations ILT members, from people both within and outside of ANKC. In response, we continued to request meetings with the ILT, while we engaged Olive Tree Mediation to launch a Spiritual Abuse Inventory.
Based on the results from Olive Tree Mediation’s inventory, (which will be available to the public starting June 9, 2026), and because the ILT refused to cooperate despite multiple attempts by the ANKC Board, we have chosen to separate. We have zero tolerance for the nature of these grievances, and protecting our staff is our top priority – even if it means making hard decisions.
We are deeply grieved about our decision, but we feel this is necessary to protect those within ANKC. While we have never had legal ties with ANI or the ILT, we have had strong relational ties and common mission and vision. So there is deep pain in this separation. However, it is the only course forward that will allow us to fulfill our legal, moral, and ethical responsibility to protect all persons. This separation removes any obligations to All Nations International and the ILT, and will hopefully guard our people from further harm.
We have contracted with Olive Tree Mediation to conduct expanded inquiries into the reported grievances against any current or former member of the ILT. If you or someone you know has a story they need to report regarding any misconduct at All Nations, please reach out to . Reports may be submitted anonymously. In addition, we will be providing follow-up care for those within All Nations Kansas City who have notified us that they have been harmed. We will be as transparent as possible about the findings while protecting the privacy of our people.
While ANKC and ANI will not be connected in the same way moving forward, we will continue to honor the legacy of our co-founders and pursue a shared vision of seeing Jesus made known around the world. All Nations Kansas City exists to make disciples and train leaders to ignite church planting movements among the neglected peoples on the earth. We are eager to continue to pursue this mission with confidence in the leadership of Executive Director Meredith Johnson, our Board, and the men and women whom God has called to serve as a part of All Nations Kansas City.
